Apatite is a semi precious stone beloved by collectors for its many different colors and forms. Only with the recent availability of fine green, neon green-blue and bluish green varieties from Madagascar, has its jewelry use increased.

The color of the best specimens of blue to green apatite can easily rival that of the famed Paraiba tourmalines and chrome tourmaline, but apatite is not quite as hard as it is the defining mineral for 5 on the Mohs scale.

Very easy to find the specific stone I was looking for. I am pleased by both the selection and the price of the stones that are available. The only "bad" thing that I have to say is that the interface of the site is outdated.

I really enjoy browsing through GemSelect. The selection is always marvelous and I love how detailed everything is described. The only thing I noticed is that when browsing through my phone, the videos of the gems do not load. If there were more videos of the gems, that would be amazing, though I understand that is a lot of work on GemSelect's part! Checking out is also very fast and easy, and I love that the return policy is very good, though I hope I don't have to use it anytime soon.

was just windowshopping and spotted a couple "Very Uncommons", a tsavorite & a demantoid garnet that were both in a size I was looking for, & that I could very easily pay for -- so figured I would grab the tsavo ASAP and got the demantoid to accompany so they wouldn't be lonely.

I placed order#384714 based on the picture on your website and the stone came in much darker. I'm sure it's the same stone i ordered but your lighting made it seem a lighter blue. I was trying to match a stone for a customer and based on the picture it would have been close enough but the stone in person is a mile off.

So many gorgeous stones! The only "complaint" I have is it's difficult to visualize sizes in mm. Perhaps some way to compare in inches?It has been a long time since I bought stones from Gem select, but the process wasn't too difficult.
