Actinolite Cat's Eye

Actinolite cat's eye is a rare chatoyant gemstone variety of the mineral actinolite. It is often misleadingly referred to as "cat's eye jade" owing to its close association with nephrite jade, one of two forms of pure forms. Actinolite and nephrite belong to the same series of minerals ranging from iron-rich tremolite to magnesium-rich ferro-actinolite amphiboles. Actinolite cat's eye gems are typically translucent and occur with jade-like green to yellowish color. Although actinolite is quite common in occurrence, gem-quality material is especially rare and a must-have for gemstone and mineral collectors.

Actinolite cat's eye gemstones are frequently worn in gemstone cabochon rings, and they are very well suited for all other types of gemstone jewelry, including gemstone earrings, pins, brooches, necklaces and gemstone pendants. Actinolite is often sought after for its metaphysical and therapeutic abilities, as it is believed to be excellent for both physical and spiritual healing.

Size and Weight

Gems are always measured in Millimeter (mm)

Dimensions are given as;
length x width x depth,
except for round stones which are;
diameter x depth

Select gems by size, not by weight!
Gem varieties vary in density, so carat weight is not a good indication of size

Note: 1ct = 0.2g
