Multicolor gems are those which display multiple colors in a single stone. Some of these gems, such as tourmaline, fluorite and ametrine, have zones of different colors. Others, such as andalusite, are strongly pleochroic and display different colors from different angles. Also included in this category are gem lots which include stones of several colors, such as matched sapphires.
I love GemSelect, personally. I browse their site almost daily to see all the new stones available. Their selection is pretty amazing. The quality isn't always the highest and the cut of the stones isn't always perfect. But for the price, and if you look hard enough, you can find a real gem, so to speak.
