Opal in Matrix is a beautiful multicolored stone with a black base color. Since it is often discovered and mined in Honduras is has earned the name 'Honduras Black Opal.' Opal in Matrix is cut in Cabochon to display the gorgeous multicolored effects for which it's famous. The stone displays its remarkable color properties which are 'essentially' tiny flecks of opal that shine naturally brilliant colors. The website is user friendly, has excellent selection. I've always found what I was looking for with Gem Select. When others don't have it they do. And most important, they have a way for you to pay without using PayPal. I cannot use PayPal they closed my account because of no cell phone.

I was looking for a source for affordable genuine gemstones for my grandson who is currently very interested in rocks and gems. I was quite surprised and pleased to find GemSelect and finding the right stones at the right price couldn't have been simpler.

Very easy to find the specific stone I was looking for. I am pleased by both the selection and the price of the stones that are available. The only "bad" thing that I have to say is that the interface of the site is outdated.

I am of the opinion that the company gem select cares about the product beautiful gems it sells and the cost of the gem I purchased was small i was treated as if it cost a lot of money and product was described in detail and i felt good about the little stones i had ordered.
