Nuristan Province produces some exceptional tourmaline, aquamarine, hiddenite, kunzite and morganite gems. Additionally, Jegdalek to the southeast of Kabul is a source for fine Afghan rubies, along with blue and pink sapphire. Other gems from Afghanistan include serpentine and turquoise.
