It helps this customer find mounts before the gems arrive. Any day of the year one can find a wide selection of gems, be it by price, color, cut, lot or single. I was looking for a site with every type of gem I could want for setting in luxury blades and assumed I would need to look outside the US, but GemSelect made it easy to get everything I wanted without leaving the house! Wide enough selection that I do not feel the need to look elsewhere and pricing the same.

Lapis lazuli has been mined from Badakhshan in Afghanistan from ancient times until the present day. Emeralds that rival the finest Colombian emeralds are mined from the Panjshir Valley. Nuristan Province produces some exceptional tourmaline, aquamarine, hiddenite, kunzite and morganite gems. Additionally, Jegdalek to the southeast of Kabul is a source for fine Afghan rubies, along with blue and pink sapphire. Other gems from Afghanistan include serpentine and turquoise.
