Golden topaz combines excellent hardness with superb brilliance and stunning color at an affordable price. Choose from a selection of golden and imperial topaz gemstones of various shapes and sizes at GemSelect, including rutile topaz and imperial topaz. Rutile topaz is colorless topaz with golden inclusions, which is sometimes referred to as "Venus hair" or "golden threads". These inclusions are actually limonite rather than rutile, but the name "rutile topaz" has stuck. The inclusions may be sparse or abundant and give the gemstone an interesting and unique appearance. Imperial topaz is the most rare and valuable topaz variety. It gets its name from the Russian Tsars of the 17th century because the tsars claimed exclusive rights to the pink topaz gemstones that were mined in Russia. Traditionally, imperial topaz was orange with red dichroism, but the definition of imperial topaz has now widened to include yellow, pink, red, lavender-pink and peach-pink topaz.

man their gems are pretty good, and the prices aren't to bad either, I like checking out hte gems on there website, beceause the pictures of the gems are taken pretty well, and you can see the table, and the facets.
I love gemselect and I have bought a fair amount from them. The only complaint I have is not being able to save gems. I have a lot of projects so i am in the market for a lot of different gems and it's so disappointing to have to delete them all just to purchase one or two that I have saved in my cart.
