Hackmanite is a rare sulfur-rich variety of sodalite and a tenebrescent mineral, which means that it has the ability to change color when exposed to sunlight. This is a process that reverses when the light changes. This phenomenon is also referred to as reversible photochromism. Hackmanite gems are pale to deep violet when first mined, and fade to grayish or greenish-white once exposed to sunlight. However, hackmanite gems from Afghanistan and Myanmar do the opposite and usually change from colorless or creamy-white to pink-red or violet under sunlight.

I really enjoy browsing through GemSelect. The selection is always marvelous and I love how detailed everything is described. The only thing I noticed is that when browsing through my phone, the videos of the gems do not load. If there were more videos of the gems, that would be amazing, though I understand that is a lot of work on GemSelect's part! Checking out is also very fast and easy, and I love that the return policy is very good, though I hope I don't have to use it anytime soon.

Hello: You do have good website. Vast majority of folks would buy the Gems for its spiritual, physical / energy level, emotional level positive aspects.
