I found what I was looking for...had to look up millimeters to inches. It would be nice to see something, like a quarter, in the pix to show relative size. I plan on buy loose gemstones for every month in the calendar

For example, jyotish gems are gems that relate to Vedic astrology. In addition, many gems are referred to in the Holy Bible and there are many gemstones which have held traditional significance in Islam.

In Judeo-Christian tradition, the Bible refers to twelve stones which were set in the breastplate of Aaron, the high priest; each of the stones symbolized the twelve tribes of Israel. In Hinduism, there are nine gemstones which correspond with seven planets and two lunar nodes in Vedic astrology, which is also known as Jyotish or Hindu astrology. In Islam, the practice of wearing gemstones developed from Ali ibn Abi Talib, the cousin and son-in-law of the prophet Muhammad.

Sometimes I wish there were videos of some gems, but other than that I love shopping with GemSelect and I have referred the site to many people many times. I found what I was looking for...had to look up millimeters to inches. It would be nice to see something, like a quarter, in the pix to show relative size. I plan on buy loose gemstones for every month in the calendar
