Concave cutting involves cutting facets that are three dimensional (curved). The technology to cut concave facets was developed by the American inventor Douglas Hoffman around 1990. It allows conical-shaped, three dimensional facets to be cut, so that each facet has depth as well as length and breadth. The result is that more of the ambient light is refracted and returned to the eye in the form of brilliance.

Happy about the experience of the store, a lot of stone urge very nice
when I need a colored stone I check gem select. a trusted supplier for at least 10 years for me. many of the online sites have gone black but gemselect continues to satisfy me. oh sure there are many windowed and poorly cut stones here so paying some attention is critical. remember these are not custom cut stones but rather cut by old methods and the aim is to keep weight up at the expense of optical perfection. remember that colored stones are about color as the first consideration. I just wish gemselect offered rough for those who want to cut it.
