Beryl (beryllium aluminum silicate) is one of the most important gem minerals. Beryl is colorless in pure form; it is the many different impurities that give beryl its varied coloration. The most famous beryl is emerald, but other beryl varieties include aquamarine, heliodor and morganite. The name beryl is used for the red and golden varieties, which are simply called red beryl and golden beryl. Beryl is quite a hard stone (7.5-8 on the Mohs scale), so it's suitable for all kinds of jewelry.

I have ordered many many gems over the years from them and I am always VERY happy!! And if I wasn't they do accept returns which is a great peace of mind.
Its been a while since last time I bought at Gem Select. Years ago Derek Lee attended me and always was a great experience. He and his team always helped me to follow up my order and fulfilled all my needs and requests. Hope he is still around! Thank you all and keep the good work!
Love the site. Huge selection. Have been using it for gem stones for several years. They have pictures and sometimes videos of the actual stone you are getting and a lot of information on the types of stones. The check out is a little different than most online purchases, but have never had any problems or issues. You just end up checking out through Paypal or another bank site.
I'd recommend gem select because they have a great selection, and options from inexpensive wire wrap stones, to feature pieces in high end jewelry. Their site also gives you multiple ways to find exactly what you are looking for
Customer service is awesome. Thomas replied straight away to all my questions. He even send photos as I would like clear view of the stones up close. Payment is quite secured as we can pay using PayPal services. This way seller and buyers are both protected. I can’t wait to receive my Gems .
I want to build out a collection of gemstones and GemSelect has been by go-to resource for market information. Now that I'm finally starting to make some purchases naturally GemSelect is my first and really only choice in mind. I'd recommend GemSelect to anyone looking to purchase loose gemstones.
