Green Jade Gems
Jade is an umbrella term that encompasses a wide variety of gems, but the only pure forms of jade are jadeite and nephrite. Jadeite is the rarer of the two varieties of jade, and as a result it is more precious. The most valuable variety of jade is a striking, emerald-green jadeite known as "imperial jade".
Jade gemstones can range in color, including green, white, orange, yellow, lavender, grey and black. In many cases, jade gemstones occur with more than one color in a single gem. Jade gems with color that is evenly distributed is highly valued. However, color preferences vary depending on the region. For example, in the West, deep and vivid green jade is preferred, but in the Far East, pure white or yellow jade with a pink tone is prized, along with green 'imperial jade', which is found only in Burma.

man their gems are pretty good, and the prices aren't to bad either, I like checking out hte gems on there website, beceause the pictures of the gems are taken pretty well, and you can see the table, and the facets.
I love gemselect and I have bought a fair amount from them. The only complaint I have is not being able to save gems. I have a lot of projects so i am in the market for a lot of different gems and it's so disappointing to have to delete them all just to purchase one or two that I have saved in my cart.
