Shop April Birthstone Diamonds
Diamond is the traditional birthstone for April and one of the most recognizable gemstones in the world. Its brilliance, durability and enduring symbolism make it a favorite choice for birthday jewelry, anniversary pieces, engagement designs and fine custom settings.
This category brings together loose diamond gemstones suitable for shoppers looking for an April birthstone with lasting appeal. Select from available shapes, sizes and individual gemstone listings to find the diamond that fits your design, budget and personal style.
Why Diamond Is the April Birthstone
Diamonds are often associated with strength, clarity, commitment and celebration. As April’s birthstone, diamond is frequently selected for personal keepsakes and meaningful gifts, especially when the design calls for a gemstone that can be worn often.
With a Mohs hardness of 10, diamond is the hardest natural gemstone, making it especially popular for rings and other jewelry that may see regular wear. Proper setting design and care are still important, but diamond’s exceptional hardness is one reason it remains a leading choice for everyday fine jewelry.
Choosing a Loose Diamond Gemstone
When comparing loose diamonds, consider the stone’s shape, measurements, carat weight, color appearance, clarity and cutting style. These factors influence the look of the finished jewelry and help determine whether a diamond is best suited for a ring, pendant, pair of earrings or accent design.
Some buyers prefer a bright, classic near-colorless appearance, while others are drawn to unique tones or individual character. Since loose gemstones are purchased individually, review the product details and photos for the specific diamond you are considering.
April Birthstone Jewelry Ideas
Loose diamonds offer flexibility for custom jewelry. A single diamond can become a solitaire ring, pendant or minimalist birthstone charm, while smaller stones can be used as accents around another gemstone or combined into earrings, bands and personalized designs.
For April birthday gifts, diamond pairs well with precious metals in both traditional and modern settings. It can also be combined with other birthstones for family jewelry, anniversary pieces or custom designs that represent more than one important date.

No problems. I had a minor address issue in the past and someone got back to me very quickly and we resolved the issue satisfactorily. I appreciated the quick, concerned response. So important when buyer/seller are so far apart in distance. Thank you Gem Select. Keep up the good work!
