紫锂辉石 Kunzite is the pale pink-violet to light violet form of the mineral spodumene. Kunzite is named as a tribute to George F. Kunz, the legendary American mineralogist and buyer for Tiffany & Co, who first described the gem in 1902. Kunzite is the pink-violet sister to the yellow-green hiddenite, another specimen of the spodumene family. Kunzite is strongly pleochroic, meaning there is a color intensity variation when a crystal of it is viewed from different directions. The top and bottom of the crystal reveal the deepest colors. Kunzite is very difficult to cut to ensure that the light passes through the gem and accents the desired color. Kunzite usually gets a step (emerald) cut. The price per carat of kunzite is very attractive and makes it an affordable gem for jewelry. Kunzite is said to help one to understand and interact better with others.

My experiences with Gemselect have always been quite satisfactory. The items are accurately photographed, a detailed description and provenance provided and the compare feature helps customers select the best gem for their needs. I have often recommended this source and will continue to do so.
I ordered several specific items from Gemselect. Items are always packaged very carefully to protect the content. Gemselect always encloses a card of authenticity which documents the entire stone, its size, clarity, etc. All of the items are as they were described. I would highly recommend them to anyone who’s in the market for a gem.
I frequently check the GemSelect website for a variety of gems. I've been very satisfied with the selection and quality of the top rated gems. All of the purchases I've made have turned out beautiful pieces of jewelry.
