Matching pair of natural orange Hessonite Garnets in the exact size of 7.32 x 5.1 x 3.77mm, its shape is octagon facet. These products are from Madagascar and weigh 2.63ct. These Hessonite Garnets come in VS clarity. "VS" stands for "Very Slightly Included" and is considered eye-clean. I ordered peridots online and they were very close to the shade in the photo. They had a good polish and pretty good lapidation for a commercial cut. They had the correct critical angles for the ri of the material so that the stones had life in them. The down side was the lack of tracking and the length of time that it had taken to get them.

The product was held up in Anchorage Alaska due to customs. It was also delayed in the U.S. by bad weather. Final delivery was not until the 29th of December.

This is probably the fourth time I havebought gems at Gem Select, I have never been disappointed. I design a ring for myself, it is easier to buy the gems I want and take them to a jeweler. I am sure I will order gems again.

After working with and polishing low-grade, rough fire-agate, only to be disappointed, this shop was nirvana. The costs of some gems might seem high, but I have easily spent the same amount rough polishing lousy material only to get a few hints of fire. If you want Fire-agates, BUY the agates you want. These are excellent specimens and are worth considering.

Website is pretty easy to use. Some items do not have enough information like origin of the item or if they are natural or lab created. Not enough pictures/some pictures of products are not clear. This might possibly just be a mobile phone user problem however.
