I was looking for ammolite for my husband. Other websites are not always clear about whether they have genuine ammolite or simulated ammolite. The product was held up in Anchorage Alaska due to customs. It was also delayed in the U.S. by bad weather. Final delivery was not until the 29th of December.

I ordered peridots online and they were very close to the shade in the photo. They had a good polish and pretty good lapidation for a commercial cut. They had the correct critical angles for the ri of the material so that the stones had life in them. The down side was the lack of tracking and the length of time that it had taken to get them.

After working with and polishing low-grade, rough fire-agate, only to be disappointed, this shop was nirvana. The costs of some gems might seem high, but I have easily spent the same amount rough polishing lousy material only to get a few hints of fire. If you want Fire-agates, BUY the agates you want. These are excellent specimens and are worth considering.

I have used this site for sseveral years now. All has been great. I started collection gems from GemSelect for years and wanted to collect at least one of most stones. I loved Safers because the mols is a 9 + and they come in every color. This is the best place to buy gems for the assortment and price. Great place to learn about gems too. Sometimes the shipping is a little on the long side. But I would give them a 9.9 out of 10 !!
