Do I have to pay import duty or tax on gemstones I buy from GemSelect?
Every country has different rules on import duty and tax. For example, in the USA there is no duty or tax on loose gemstones. Many countries do have import duties, including most European countries and Canada. Australia allows duty-free import of gemstones up to AUS $1,000.
