Product Description:

Amethyst and citrine are both forms of transparent quartz and are often found in the same location. Natural golden citrine is considered to be rarer than purple amethyst, and so it usually is more valuable. However, a very rare combination of both colors of quartz found in the same crystal is even rarer than golden citrine. Virtually all the world's supply of ametrine comes from a single mine in Southeastern Bolivia, known as the Anahi mine. Ametrine from Bolivia is considered by most to be the finest quality ametrine available today.

I am of the opinion that the company gem select cares about the product beautiful gems it sells and the cost of the gem I purchased was small i was treated as if it cost a lot of money and product was described in detail and i felt good about the little stones i had ordered.

So many gorgeous stones! The only "complaint" I have is it's difficult to visualize sizes in mm. Perhaps some way to compare in inches?It has been a long time since I bought stones from Gem select, but the process wasn't too difficult.

was just windowshopping and spotted a couple "Very Uncommons", a tsavorite & a demantoid garnet that were both in a size I was looking for, & that I could very easily pay for -- so figured I would grab the tsavo ASAP and got the demantoid to accompany so they wouldn't be lonely.
