Introducing Labradorite Gemstones - Now On Sale!

Step into a world of mystique and magic with Labradorite, a truly extraordinary gemstone. Its deep hues, shimmering with iridescent flashes of peacock blue, gold, pale green, or coppery red, are sure to captivate your senses. Known for its healing properties and enchanting beauty, Labradorite crystals are now available at unbeatable prices.

According to an old Inuit legend, the colorful Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis are trapped within Labradorite gemstones.

Labradorite Colors

Labradorites can display any color you care to imagine but blue, green, yellow or red are the most likely to appear. More rarely, purple, gold, teal and orange are featured and they look especially effective on a gemstone with a dark background.

The colors are caused by the structure of the gemstone. Labradorite is made up of layers of different minerals and as the light travels through these very thin layers it separates into various colors of the rainbow then bounce back and forth between the layers creating the dazzling phenomenon.

Why Buy Labradorite Crystal?

Labradorite is not just a visually stunning gemstone; it's a crystal that resonates with many seeking spiritual growth and transformation. Here's why you should buy Labradorite:

  • Transformation & Protection: Many believe that Labradorite assists in personal growth and transformation and protects the aura.
  • Enhances Creativity: The shimmering play of colors is said to stimulate imagination and creativity.
  • Perfect for Jewelry: The unique beauty of Labradorite crystals makes them perfect for crafting elegant jewelry that stands out.

Labradorite Species

Labradorite is a mixture of silica and aluminum known as the mineral feldspar which makes up most of the earth's crust. During formation various minerals present during the heating and cooling process will solidify into microscopically thin layers. This will help create the wonderful play-of-color known as adularescence, labradorescence or aventurescence.

There are a number of other feldspars which can also be made into gemstones - some with similar dazzling phenomena:

  • Spectrolite - A high quality labradorite form Finland
  • Rainbow Moonstone - A gemstone with a blue glow
  • Moonstone - An ethereal gemstone with liquid looking surface

Labradorite Price

Labradorite is a very reasonably priced gemstone and even the finest examples will not break the bank. As usual it is the color that decides the sales price but we must also consider the intensity of any color flashes and the area of the gemstone's surface which contains color.

Blue is probably the most common color so any gemstones displaying flashes of red, gold or orange will be just that little bit more expensive. Any Labradorite which shows two, three or more colors is even more special.

Labradorite Carat Weight

Labradorite gemstones in large carat weights are relatively easy to find so the price per carat does not rise as the gemstones get bigger - it is all about the vividness of the color display. Larger crystals are also used for gemstone carvings.

No matter the size, Labradorites will be priced between 50c and $4 per carat.

Where is Labradorite found?

The labradorite crystal is still found in Canada as well as Madagascar, Russia, Australia and the US while the fine Spectrolite version comes from Finland.

What jewelry is Labradorite suitable for?

labradorite's hardness is rated at 6 - 6.5 on Mohs hardness scale scale meaning they are hard enough for most types of jewelry. Care should be taken with rings or bracelets which are exposed to knocks and bumps while earrings, brooches and pendants should be fine.

The website is well organized and works fast forward and back. Plenty of filters. Each gem is described in detail and you receive the one pictured. Gem material info and sources available. I would like to see more specifics on sources besides country- at least region or state and in the US with Turquiose which mine. Thanks!

I placed order#384714 based on the picture on your website and the stone came in much darker. I'm sure it's the same stone i ordered but your lighting made it seem a lighter blue. I was trying to match a stone for a customer and based on the picture it would have been close enough but the stone in person is a mile off.
