Product Description:

Quartz which occurs in bands of yellow and purple has been given the name of ametrine. It is a bicolored stone which is a mix of amethyst and citrine in one stone, giving it both violet and yellow colors.

Ametrine has traditionally been given an emerald cut with a 50/50 split of colors, and much of the rough is still cut this way. More recently, however, some cutters have begun to cut a variety of shapes, many of which create internal reflections that blend the yellow and purple into attractive shades of rosy gold and mauve, or create mosaic-like flashes of both yellow and purple. These include fancy-cut ametrine in asymmetrical, unusual and checkerboard styles.

Hello: You do have good website. Vast majority of folks would buy the Gems for its spiritual, physical / energy level, emotional level positive aspects. I placed order#384714 based on the picture on your website and the stone came in much darker. I'm sure it's the same stone i ordered but your lighting made it seem a lighter blue. I was trying to match a stone for a customer and based on the picture it would have been close enough but the stone in person is a mile off.

I am of the opinion that the company gem select cares about the product beautiful gems it sells and the cost of the gem I purchased was small i was treated as if it cost a lot of money and product was described in detail and i felt good about the little stones i had ordered.
