1.85ct VVS Andesine Labradorite (#172423)
Andesine is a member of the plagioclase feldspar group, which also includes labradorite and sunstone. All the members of this group are a mixture of albite and anorthite, with andesine being 50-70% albite and 30-50% anorthite.Supplies of andesine from the Congo are quite recent, with the mineral found in a range of colors, including red, yellow, champagne and green. It has hardness of 6.5 on the Mohs scale, so it is not ideal for rings.
